Questions

Do the people I send documents to need an account?

No. They receive a secure link by email, review the document and sign in their browser — on a phone or a computer.

What file types can I upload?

PDF, JPG and PNG today. Images are converted to PDF so every signer sees exactly the same document. Word documents are coming soon.

How do I know a signed document hasn't been changed?

Every completed document is sealed with a digital signature and a SHA-256 fingerprint. Anyone can check a copy on our Verify page — any change to the file produces a different fingerprint.

Are electronic signatures legally binding?

Many countries recognise electronic signatures for many kinds of documents, but the rules vary by country and document type. Some documents need a wet signature or witnessed signing. If you're unsure, check with a legal professional for your situation.

Can I complete a witnessed signing from another country?

Often, yes. Whether a Signing Officer can help depends on the Signing Officer's commission and where you are during the video session. Tell us where you'll be and we'll only match you with Signing Officers who are allowed to help. Some places don't allow witnessed signing yet.
